12th March 2021 marked the end of the Five Day Capacity Building Intervention for COVIDAction Offline Local Producers. It was an honor having two members of the business club join this training courtesy of their business ventures. The COVIDAction is a partnership project by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)’s Frontier Technology Hub along with other collaborators to build a technology and innovation pipeline to support activities related to the covid-19 pandemic.

The intervention is targeted at building the capacity of local offline producers who have zero or limited access to internet connectivity, helping them improve their process and scale production. The major goal of the training is to help selected local producers build the necessary skills to become resilient post-COVID-19.

It is through such opportunities and partnerships, that we are able to ensure that the boys get empowered through the Business Club and get supported in ventures that eventually help them get off the streets. We are grateful to Fablab Winam for the wonderful opportunity to empower the youth through their partnership with AfriLabs in this workshop. #HomelessOfKisumu #dignitytohumanity
