Homeless of Kisumu is a non-profit organization offering psychosocial support and empowerment to street-connected children, youth, and women as well as vulnerable families in informal settlements of Kisumu County, with an aim of bringing back dignity to humanity.
What We Do to make Our vision a reality
We involve ourselves in programme areas that empower the mind,facilitate the development of the vulnerable children and the youth as well as impart knowledge and skills.
Social
Protection
It involves advocating for the general welfare, rights, and access to social services of the vulnerable families in the street and in the informal settlement.
Economic Empowerment
Economic empowerment involves training, linkage, and supporting youth, women, and vulnerable families to start economical activities to improve their livelihood.
Environmental Conservation
Environmental education raises awareness among individuals and communities about the need of using natural resources while protecting them.

Our Motivation
According to a census conducted in February 2022 by the Kisumu Street Children Rehabilitation Consortium (KSCRC), the number of people sleeping on the streets of Kisumu is 404, including children and youth. Their nutrition and health status are not at satisfactory levels. Food intake is both quantitatively and qualitatively inadequate.They have infrequent medical care, they lack bathing and toilet facilities, and they are exposed to various health hazards, unsanitary surroundings, and climatic variations.
